Mussadi Lal’s shop has caught fire and the fire brigade is a little slow to respond. When they finally do come, in an auto rickshaw – ostensibly because their fire engine failed to start- they seal off his shop to investigate. Mussadi runs from pillar to post to obtain an NOC so that he can open his shop once again, even resorting to bribery when it helps. But shortcuts in everything tend to backfire more often than not. The system is represented by a group of actors who are constantly highlighting the pathetic mindset of our junior level officers. They say, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Pankaj Kapoor, leaves no stone unturned in his portrayal of the system beaten man. The very obvious strength of this show is its pathos driven satire. Well crafted by the writers and effectively portrayed by the actors, this show is one of its kinds.
